Syllabus Overview for 2023-24

Shapes: Able to identify and classify objects by shape, size, whether it can roll or slide. To write number names, count objects up to 20 by seeing pictures, symbols or by written numbers.

Numbers 1 to 20: Learn and understand numbers from 1 to 20. In this the student learns counting objects using numbers 1 to 9, compares numbers up to 20 with pictures or written numbers.

Addition & Subtraction: Learn adding and subtracting numbers from 1 to 20. Creates number facts up to 9. Real life word problems involving addition and subtraction.

Numbers up to 99: Recognizes numbers up to 99, writes them in numerals and uses them in practical use.

Measurement: Measuring and estimating length using a finger, hand span, footsteps etc. This helps the student to estimate and measure in real life situations.

Patterns: Patterns in life, arranging similar type of shapes/ objects and numbers together and observe number patterns.

Data Handling: Data handling basics like collecting information, recording them, and interpreting them which can be useful in real life.

Zero: Zero and the concept of Zero
